We have prepared micellar nanoparticles which showing entrapment efficiency of more than 100% (108%). I believe that it is probably due to overweight of drug taken and then the complete entrapment of drug taken.
Is it right to show more than 100% loading in research paper? If yes, Please let me know how to discuss or justify the >100% entrapment efficiency while writing the research paper?

You need to repeat the experiment since the starting weight was not carefully taken up. Even if it is 100% it won't exceed the quantitative figure of 100%. The other point may be the loading is in unexpected regions, i.e., other surface areas, entrapped in secondary spaces within the formed vesicle, entanglement with other constituents present in the medium, strong physical and chemical attachments of an unfavorable kind!
I agree with Riaz A. Khan Entrapment can only be 100% or less if it is only nanoparticles taking up the drug. You can repeat the experiment or run controls with no nanoparticles present so that you can make an adjustment of your results. I had the same problem with silt contamination of plant samples but devised a mathematical formula to take this into account
I believe there is some confusion here regarding two phenomenon.
1. Encapsulation efficiency (Entrapment of drug)
2. Loading capacity of the nanoparticle.
In case of encapsulation efficiency, it will always be below 100%. Because it is calculated by substracting the unbound/non-encapsualted drug from initial quantity of drug added. So there is no way that the encapsulation increases than 100%.
In case of loading capacity, nanoparticles may carry drug higher than their own weight, particularly if they are hollow inside. This is measured by comparing the weight of drug v weight of nanoparticles (w/w). The loading capacity may be more than 100%. This is unlikely, but it may happen.
You should review the experimental error (standard deviation) of the method used to determine the concentration of drug in the particles. It is likely that the excess (8%) is within the experimental error.
