We know journal publishes different items in its each issue like editorial, reviews, news items, correction, letters and of course research articles, all of which are not citable items. So when conducting a bibliometric evaluation of a journal, will all the items published in the journal be considered or only the citable items( like research articles, corrections, reviews) are considered in the study? In calculating impact factor of the journal also are all the published items considered or only the citable items considered?
