Strategies are designed for a probable future or futures. But what is the meaning of such a future? Is it just an extension of the present time? That means an extrapolation of the present state of business, or it is a probable complex of events which correlate with the present time but through nonlinear and probabilistic phenomena. How much of these phenomena can we anticipate, design and influence? How much we can built up deliberate strategies and how much we can react with emergent ones? How can we develop and apply strategic thinking?
