In many agricultural territories of Italy 170 kg/hectare of N are not sufficient to satisfy crop uptakes (especially maize and grasses) and mineral fertilizers are applied to fit the requirements. How is the nitrogen balance (input by organic - crop uptake) in your countries?

Dear Fernando as I stated in my question, many crops in Italy have the capacity to uptake much more than 170 kg/ha per year. The limitation to 170 kg/ha from manures implies the necessity to buy mineral fertilizers to support yield, with double negative consequences: costs for fertilizers, cost for treatment of excess N of manure
