I have a few SJR publications and I do not see any advantage because of this. There are some very nice scientific journals in my region but without SJR. I am thinking to stop publishing with SJR. The visibility of my work without SJR is the same as the papers with SJR.
What is your opinion about SJRs and IFs?

In my country universities are paid according to the number of points for papers published in journals with SJR affiliated to the university. The higher the IF the better finansing of the University. In this context, the scientific career depends on your IF sum.
This is the source of the motivation.
I am from Bulgaria. It is the same here. The SJR is connected to the promotion. It is the only motivation for SJR writing. From a scientific point of view, I do not have any advantage to publish something with SJR. Even the opposite, I have many more advantages to publish without SJR.
