A recommendation that I have found useful as an ASOPRS oculoplastic fellow is to know every detail in the BCSC book on oculoplastics (2015-2016 Basic and Clinical Science Course, Section 07: Orbit, Eyelids, and Lacrimal System) as well as read the Green Journal (OPRS) cover to cover. The OPRS journal is published every other month, and if you read every edition for two years (the length of my fellowship), it will form good habits and get your knowledge up-to-date with the newest techniques and understanding. Reading the BCSC also establishes a well-rounded foundational understanding of oculoplastics that will be easy to build upon. Hope that helps!
