We recently analyzed coated Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) in the German Arthroplasty Registry for periprosthetic joint infection (PJI). We could not show any advantage of coating in terms of PJI. Although we saw a very high revision rate with coated TKA for other reasons.

What is your experience with coated TKA? How do you explain higher revision rates with coated TKA?
