High expressed emotions is a major determinant of psychiatry disorder prognosis. Especially when it comes to schizophrenia. Research suggests that being in a developing country has better prognosis in psychosis. Partly due to low levels of EE. Is it still a truth ? Do we have enough evidence to prove this fact ?

Interesting question. In my experience EE seems to manifest in situations where there is more micromanaging and what some lay people refer to as "helicopter parenting." Though "helicopter" relationships are not always parental. Sometimes they develop between partners as well. People who are constantly "hovered over," seem less sure of themselves and more prone to emotional liability. Micromanaging children and loved ones seems to happen more in developed countries than less developed countries.
It is not easy for families to live with ill members, no matter the illness. You care, you want to help, you try hard, nothing works. It becomes extremely frustrating and you take it out, not that you want to, on the ill person. Some people do this more than others depending on circumstances, availability of help, personality, options,,,,,,,solutions are limited by inadequate treatments, inaccessible help, close quarters, cumulative stresses.
