I am working on a social project for desalination of seawater to freshwater. My team has selected graphene oxide for the filtration material. The project should be feasible, cost-efficient and sustainable on microscale.
So should we go for slow sand filtration of graphene coated sand GSC (Sand rejection capacity of GSC will be less than graphene membrane so we were thinking to use Capacitative Deionization with GSC) or will graphene membrane be a viable option?
Your advise and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
