I am checking the Aldrich Infrared library of compounds. And for HCHO molecule, it says "37%, U.S.P.".
Is anyone familiar with the unit and meaning of 37% here? Is this mass-of-compound/mass-of-total-solution?
Thanks.
Hi,
The meaning is:
37% water in methanol as stabilizer ( 37g for 100g H2O and methanol added to prevent polymerization )
Please look at here:

But, "USP" is "United States Pharmacopeia". It's a label of the quality of your compound
Mr. Tao,
I shall agree with Mrs/MMiss Taleb.

When I tried to energy minimization my system, I got fatal error as below. Fatal error: Atomtype opls_116 not found Although I've already added this line: ; include water #include "oplsaa.ff/spc.itp" to [molecultype] directive in my topology.
