The case is when I deposit a Co, Fe or permalloy film (say at about 10^-10 mbar) and then wait into the chamber for the following process or move in-situ in a vacuum about 10^-8 mbar in another chamber for the following step, especially when I deposit organic molecules on top of it in a vacuum about 10-8 mbar at a rate slower than 0.1 nm/s.

What is the time scale to have a monolayer of oxide (whether due to oxygen or water) or of adsorbed water in 10^-8 and 10^-10 mbar pressures?
