Dear friends, I understand that Ag detection either through ELISA or through isolation or through nuclear detection is the approved methods for diagnosis of bird flu. However, at Indian Veterinary Research Institute diagnosis is given on the basis of Ab detection ELISA. The institute provided the diagnosis for more than 31500 samples either using Ag detection ELISA (for 2100 samples) or based on Ab detection ELISA (for 14400 samples). How was it possible to give the diagnosis for more than 31500 samples is the mystery? Aand needs to be solved because Bird flu is a transboundary disease.
