I think the best and most efficient solution is to use a fat extractor. The oil content in the sludge is totally removed by extraction in a proper solvent, followed by solvent recovery. The fat extractor Gerhardt that I use for biomass fat extraction guarrantees a total oil extraction without any contamination of the xtracted oil with solvent. Nevertheless I'm rather skeptic for such method if use the oil for food scope. In this application you can try the classical pressing methods.
I am not familiar with fat extractor. I will find info on Gerhardt.
My research is on concrete material, i would like to use POME in a special concrete. Therefore, I was looking for a technique which could be economical as well.
Could you give me some link/ idea on "classical pressing method"?
Mr. Bashar, you can find a lot of documentation, general info but also scientifical papers about cold oil extraction or cold pressing methods. There are presented the solvent extraction methods too and a mix of such techniques within the extraction global technology (cold pressing, filtration, solvent extraction). Cold pressing method followed by filtration is a cheap method to be applied locally. Also solvent-based methods are quite affordable but the technology to recover the solvent totally makes the price difference amongst the solvent-based techniques.
