I am a student of professional aquaculture. My Degree work is in progress and is "calanoid copepod population growth (Parvocalanus crassirostris) fed different species of microalgae".
I will used the species Isochrysis galbana, chaetoceros sp, are the most used. The difference is i uses Tetraselmis chuii because of their size, can improve the survival of adults.
you know some production research P.crassirostris fed Tetraselmis chuii?.
Parvocalanus culture is known to grow better on a combination of Isochrysis and chaetoceros. we currently maintaincultures at James Cook University fed only Isochrysis because it's convenient. Still, you can try other microalgae strains that might work as well. I'm not sure if Tetraselmis wouldwork, but you can always try. Good luck, your research sounds very interesting.
