Greetings, I am developing a research about use of space by endangered primates from Paraíba (Brasil), I got two species and just one study area, my landscape unit response are occurrence points of each specie and I need to define scales to buffers so I can collect quantitative data, i.e. raster data, and categorical data, such as environmental composition (absence or presence, binary). However I had not find surveys like mine, mainly, these works have >1 study area or landscape, so they define the scale using a minimum distance between them.

In my case, I have occurrences points near one another and they can overlap, surely. How can I set a scale on these occurrences points? What is the suitable scale to population inside a single landscape or area?
