Ankita, I'm aware of three sources, Cartosat, SRTM, and ASTER DEM. But you can also derive DEMs from satellite stereo pair capabilities like with SPOT, IKONOS, WorldView, etc. LIDAR derived DEMs are also an option.
For SRTM & ASTER DEMs you can
1. Create an account in http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/
2. Search for your study area (Ujjain)
3. Select your preferred 'Digital Elevation' model data set ( SRTM or ASTER)
4. Click on 'Results' and start downloading.
Alternatively, you can also follow the youtube tutorial on 'how to access data from earthexplorer'
For Cartosat DEM you can follow this link http://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/data/download/index.php
These links would be helpful for accessing DEMs for watershed analysis.
