the internet and IT seems to be killing our book shops and libraries simply because books and information are now readily available online. As such, peoples interest to visit the libraries is slowly dwindling.
Mr Yeboah, Bookshops are virtually on the demise. I don't even remember the last time I went to a bookshop to pick up a book. As you rightly said, the 2st century revolution, Open Access Initiatives (OAIs) and the idea behind the internet of things (IoT) is gradually facing off the brick-and-mortar bookshops. However, some of these vendor are smarter;e.g. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Spring Open, Francis and Taylor have all revolutionize their outlet and they are making massive waves.

I perfectly agree with the beautiful comment by Dr. Harry. The 21st century is using online marketing to sell virtually all products and services including books. You can call it 'e-bookshop'. The traditional bookshops are still functioning though with less patronage in Ghana, especially in higher institutions. Authors and publishers must be smart in treading the path of the giant online marketers in books cited by Dr. Harry. Best regards
