Dear colleagues,
Do you have an idea about the source of light through which we see dreams ? and what is the source of light through which we can see the colors we see in dreams?
I wish you all the best
Huda
Blind people have no visual imagery in their dreams, if born blind. Dreams do process past memories; in a dream, different temporal memory layers can be mixed over into 'one film'. We do not dream with our eyes, it is a brain function in sleep as the brain is a non-stop organ (you could put a light bulb on it).The existence of pre-cognitive dreams, which is portrayed in prophetic literature, e.g. Joseph in Egypt, cannot be ruled out. A healthy sleep cycle (chronobiology) and dreamimg are closely connected, in medical terms, to 'free' the memory from non-necessary psycho-logical ballast of life experiences.
Good dear dr Huda A. Rasheed , we follow the answers with you
It's a very interesting and very difficult question for me! I can not wait to read the answers from specialists, ophthalmologists, etc. Some believe in real vision and / or illusions, ... Others believe that there are metaphysical phenomena and wonder why some see creatures at the same time that others do not see them? Can we think of a source that directly excites what comes after the retina, nerve impulse, etc.? and gives the brain the same picture that if there are photons came directly to the eye? !! For some believers, do "jinns" make themselves to be seen by some and by others not? if we can answer your question, there will be a new world that will open up !!

Very interesting question,As a physiologist a think dreams are played from a source beyond the need for light.

Dear Dr. Huda A. Rasheed,
Thank you so much for your very nice question,
In my opinion, there is no relationship between light and dreams,
But according to ISLAM RELIGION, dreams are broken into three parts:
Abu Hurayrah narrated Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "There are three types of dreams: a righteous dream which is glad tidings from Allah, the dream which causes sadness is from Shaitan, and a dream from the ramblings of the mind". (Sahih Muslim).
1-True or Good Dreams
We can see true dreams are from Allah Ta'aala as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "True dreams are from Allah, and bad dreams are from Shaitan." (Sahih Al-Bukhari).
True believers are more likely to happen to those who are truthful in their lives as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "Those of you with the truest dreams will be those who are most truthful in speech" (Sahih Muslim).
Good dreams are also from Allah Ta'aala. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "If anyone of you has a dream that he likes then it is from Allah. He should thank Allah for it and narrate it to others." (Sahih Al-Bukhari) Good deeds consist of people doing Halaal (lawful) acts.
One should share their dreams with those they like as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "If one sees a good dream, let him expect good, and not tell it except to those he likes." (Muslim) An example of this is Yaqoob (AS) telling his son, Yusuf (AS) concerning his dream about eleven stars and the sun and the moon prostrating to him (scholars have said the eleven stars were his brothers, and the sun and the moon represented his mother and father): "He said, "O my son! Relate not your vision to your brothers lest they arrange a plot against you. Verily! Satan is to man an open enemy." (Surah Yusuf 12:5) We know the half-brothers of Yusuf were jealous of him to begin with so telling them the dream would probably only serve to increase the jealousy.
Muhammad (S) also told us, "Nothing is left of prophethood except glad tidings." Those with him asked, "What are glad tidings?" He (S) replied, "Good dreams." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
2-Bad Dreams
As stated above bad dreams are from Shaitan. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told us what to do upon seeing a bad dream. "So when one of you sees a dream which he does not like, he should spit on his left side three times, seek refuge with Allah from Shaitan thrice, and change the side which he was lying (Sahih Muslim) and in another narration in Muslim, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told us if we spit three times and seek refuge from Allah then it (the dream) will not harm them." (Sahih Muslim).
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) also told us that if we saw a bad dream to "stand up and offer prayer." (Sahih Muslim).
Bad Dreams Should Not Be Disclosed Muhammad (S) said, ...If he has a dream that he dislikes, then it is from Shaitan. He should seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and he SHOULD NOT MENTION IT TO ANYBODY, then it will not harm him." (Sahih Al-Bukhari). If one does tell somebody about the bad dream then there could be the chance that some harm will come out of it.
3-Dreams from One's Self
These dreams come from one's thoughts and are neither from Allah or Shaitan.
Kind regards
According to Vedic scriptures it is Paramatma :-) Third expansion of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
Dear Dr. Huda A. Rasheed
Thank you so much for the interesting question and it is so hard to find a proper answer for it in our life.
The soul during sleep is inextricably linked to the outside world and therefore these stimuli during sleep are sources of dreams
The soul leaves us during sleep and moves to another world is unlimited in distances and in time, this soul can know as many things as it can have a relationship to our lives while in the same time we cannot know that by the continuity of our natural body with the real world
Conversely, this may be done by our soul which remains connected with us and gives us signals when required and that we are still in touch with the earth
Now, what about the light ? (I think ) that dreams occur during certain stages with rapid eye movement this motion may turn into light signals as a result of the rapid movement of invisible light particles in the eye. This collision generates light signals that are not caused by reflection as is familiar.

The vision of the Scouts or the source of light in a dream has good and positive connotations of the visionary, which is a vision that promises good and success in life, and the greater the searchlight and the more light the interpretation is stronger and better than the weak search.
Whoever sees in the dream a scout in his hand and his light is bright and strong, it symbolizes the power of thinking, the focus of the seer, his ability to analyze things and access to creative ability, as the vision symbolizes the power of mind and the vision of the seer.
Dear Stephen ,
I really appreciate your contribution, but I wonder if Blind people have no visual imagery in their dreams, if born blind???

Dear Noureddine,
I'm glad and grateful for your a wonderful comment.

Dear Dickson,
I thenk, some dreams are Inspiration, but not all dreams.

Huda A. Rasheed
Dear Huda, the scientific study which the NY Times article cites, confirms exactly my statement above. The exception are those blind people, who lost their sight during life-time, i.e. no visual imagery during dreaming by people born blind. The other group of blind people (during life-time) follows a gradual scale, i.e. the date of the loss of sight is essential. Best wishes: stephen
The Word of God tells us that we have an indwelling spirit. Perhaps this is the ethereal light source of our dreams. On the other hand, the brain is active when we sleep and transmits thoughts and various patterns, and may even trigger memories that may be the scientific/biological source of light.
Hi Shibabrata, Thanks for your comment. I think sometimes, "The sub-conscious thoughts are the source of our dreams", but some dreams are inspiration as Dickson commented.
Best wishis
Dear Tarig, Yes, I agree with you "dreams are played from a source beyond the need for light".
Best wishes.
Dear Hamid, Thank you so much for your valuable comment. You also know that we see objects through light reflections on them, but how do we see objects in dreams for any of the three types that you clarified in your comment?.
Best wishes.
The light to our dreams is through positive thought and pleasant mood
Dear Srete,
I really appreciate your contribution. It is possible to say that we see the images in the dreams by a insight eye not the usual eye which is need light. We do not need the light that consists of photons, but we need the light of insight. But what about false dreams, according to our live experiments?. Are all dreams true and seen by third expansion of the Supreme Personality of Godhead ?.
I wish you all the best
I can hardly believe that the light in our dreams is only memory, because I also hear music in my dreams or just words but I can't reproduce it the day after and it is not something I know. May be it will help to explain inspiration.
For certain we can't just call in a god.
No all dreams are not true. You are in right. Inside light is important. Some dreams my come for the spiritual soul which we real are in our bodies, from our past lifes. It is not only a meter of science so we will come on other field of religions. Since it i scientific portal I will finish with this.
A dream is a summary of a collection of effects in our daily life. It is collected from: actions, concerns, wishes, beliefs...Light in dreams may refer to the nature of light in the dram, in some dreams light presents concern or anxiety, in other dreams light presents hope and relief. Spiritual strength plays a vital role in dreams. Physical light shown in dreams, especially colors, may be caused by superficial sleep, where it is possible for the eye to be affected by surrounding light exists around.
A quick example about that is this short story:
- A child to his mother: "mum, why I do not see you in my dreams?"
- Mother: "There is a procedure for that "!
- Child: "Tell me this procedure"
- Mother: "You have to eat salty food with very little amount of water for three days"
After three days:
- Child: "Mum, I did the procedure and I did not see you in my dreams?"
- Mum: "What did you see in your dreams in the three days?"
- Child: "I saw in my dreams huge amounts of fresh Chrystaly water, and dulcet white springs, pure cold blue revers....."
- Mother: "When you really feel your need for me like your need for water during the three days of salty food, I guarantee that you'll see me in your dreams !!
Whoever saw in a dream that the scout of light or the source of light has been extinguished or hit by fire burned it, this vision is a warning to my readers of failure and frustration. The vision may indicate the death and death of a person from the family of the seer or his family.
Whoever saw in his sleep that lighting a red scout is a warning sign and an alert to the opinion of the necessity of calculating the work done by and think carefully before making decisions, and may be a warning from people surround the opinion and chatter about it
Whoever sees that it shines the searchlight but does not shine and does not transmit its light, it suggests failure, frustration and disappointments because of a subject or because of a particular person who has failed the seer
The vision of the Scouts symbolizes the marriage of a married woman to her husband, who saw that her lamp had been lost or that she had lost her search for conflict, loss and failure that dominates the marital relationship, and this vision may be a warning for her to correct and improve her behavior with her husband. God knows.
Thanks Dr Huda A. Rasheed for such interesting question.

Dear Srete, I am pleasure with your valuable comments and your contact with us She also notes that some of the discussions are scientific, such as Stephen's and Shatha S Alhily's comments, while others are religious related to the spiritual aspect. All opinions and comments are welcome and I respect them but my question is scientific and may relate to the answer to the non-natural world (beyond nature). I hope we will benefit from your valuable opinions. I really appreciate your contribution and you are very welcome .
Thanks
Hi Dr. Shatha, Thank you very much for your scientific comment and valuable information.

Hi Nada, Thanks for your wonderful comment. Yes, "the mind is a memory that stores the colors and shapes and when sleeping reflect these colors". This supports Stephen's opinion"Blind people have no visual imagery in their dreams, if born blind".

I read an interesting article entitled "Why Can We See Things In Our Dreams ?." Answer by Joyce Schenkein, Neuropsychologist, College Professor, Vision Scientist, on Quora: Not everyone sees in their dreams. A. Valvo (1971) studied people who were born with normal vision but lost their sight due to accidents. In these accidents, only the optics of the eye were damaged, for example, destruction of the cornea, without harm deeper visual structures in the brain. He found that for a period of time after the blinding event, subjects continued to dream in visual images. However, over long periods of time (Valvo's subjects had been blind for twenty years), dreams became more tactile and auditory. Vision was no longer reported, even in dreams. After twenty years of blindness, the subjects in Valvo's study underwent a new surgical procedure to restore the optics of their eyes. It was expected that they would then be able to see, since the impediment to sight had been removed. Unfortunately, only one subject was actually able to benefit from the procedure. This man had exercised his visual imagination on a regular basis. Almost daily since his accident, he would touch objects and try to construct a visual memory of its appearance. The other subjects, who had essently lost most of the visual processing areas by atrophy, would say things like, "my blind friends expect me to see but I do not really understand what I'm looking at." These subjects in Valvo's study could not decipher facial expressions or even be sure of the gender of a person they were viewing. The movie "At First Sight" incorporates some of Valvo's findings into the experience of a young man who sight was "restored" by this procedure, but who could not interpret social cues. So, from Valvo's study, we now know that some special area of the brain is necessary for the construction of visual dreams, but that it will be lost with disuse ("use it or lose it"). Mark Solms (1997), who studied brain injured patients in search of areas associated with visual dreams, reported that patients with Parietal lobe damage could not construct the stage upon which the visual dream occurs. The Parietal lobe understands space. It even understands spatial language, such as "up, down, left, and right". A person with a Parietal injury can not use these words when they connote space, such as "put your left hand up", but can use them to say "I woke up", "I'm feeling down", "I left my book at home "and" I am right on time ". It can not be said that the Parietal lobe is the necessary and sufficient location of dream construction, only that it plays a role.

'Use it or lose it' is a procedure that works. A lot of research is done in the area of injuries of the brains but not that much on people who without any injuries work at an increase of consciousness. Dreams, visual and auditive, may also dependent on the state of consciousness; this has also to be cleared in order to understand something about visions.
The light in a dream symbolizes the good that the dreamer will receive in real life, especially if the light is white and is very bright
Light indicates in a dream that the dreamer soon bachelor will be linked to an appropriate person looking for him, and refers to the dreamer married to have children
The vision of light in a dream for a poor man is indicative of the money and the great gains and material gains that will be enjoyed in the coming period.
Dear Rita, Thanks alot for your wonderful comments. Yes, I agree with you "I can hardly believe that the light in our dreams is only memory". May be that is the source of some dreams and the Inspiration is the source of the other dreams. It is possible that, the source of the dreams is an interaction between inspiration and images stored in memory.

Dear Beth, You are right. The spirits may go to other unknown worlds. Sometimes we see some people in our dreams who never we seen before (They may have died before we born for decades or more) and we can describe them accurately. So memory had no role in such dreams but the source was the confluence of spirits in other unknown worlds
I wish you all the best
The light in dreams is not memory. It comes from our soul or as it is also called, the etheric body. 80% of congenitally blind people have been found to be able to see in an NDE episode. In other words, they could see when the body was temporarily DEAD. Read my essay "Brahman's Dream" IJoDR Heidelberg University. There I review Pam Reynolds' artificially (medically) induced DEATH. She reported that she could see better and clearer and with more certainty in the state of no brainwaves, no breath, no heartbeat. Check Pam's NDE on line.
This is an interesting thread, because melatonin is also produced at the pineal gland. In pseudoscience the pineal gland is called the third eye and Descartes called it the principal seat of the soul.
That the pineal gland is connected with the visual cortex of the brain is interesting for further research.
May be neuroscience can help here to solve the problem.
Melatonin related to breast cancer and night work for women is a factor to take into account.
Hi Kurt, Thank you for your wonderful comments. Yes, as you said "The light in dreams is not memory. It comes from our soul or as it is also called, the etheric body", but I think that applies to some dreams not all. I completely agree with you that, any person could see better and clearer and with more certainty when the body was temporarily DEAD. That is why we believe that when a person is in a state of death (shortly before his death) he could see better and clearer and with more certainty.
Regards,
Hi Barbara, Thanks alot for your wonderful comments and valuable information that I hear for the first time. I would be grateful if you kindly put the links that relate to your comment to take advantage of them.
I wish you all the best
Dear Rita, Thank you very much for your valuable comments. Yes as you said, Barbara's comment is an interesting thread. You explaned the relation between the physical part (melatonin) with spiritual part (the soul) and this may be the reason for seeing the images of our dreams even though our eyes are closed
Best wishes
All dreams are lit by the soul, for the soul is the dreamer. It gets its information from Absolute Consciousness or God, as you would say, and then passes it on as software does in the computer. We are puppets on strings or hypnotised subjects. Please read my "Brahman's Dream" and "The Dream as Posthypnotic Command". This will give you a better picture of what I am saying.
Here I have 4 insteresting Diss Abs about Dreams in conjuction Parapspychology.
Stowell, M. S. (1995). Precognitive dreams: A phenomenological study of adults who report experiencing dreams about events which later occur. (9607474 Ph.D.), Saybrook University, Ann Arbor.pp: 565 ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database. ABSTRACT: Precognitive dreams previously have been studied from the perspective of providing evidence that such dreams could occur and the circumstances under which they were more likely, but there is no systematic psychological study of the phenomenology of precognitive dreams. Five subjects were chosen who each reported having experienced two or more precognitive dreams, at least one of which was about a life threatening situation or a death. Each subject was interviewed two or more times to clarify the meanings intended in the descriptions, and then Giorgi's (1985) phenomenological method was used to analyze the narratives. No attempt was made to independently authenticate the validity of the experiences; this was a study of the psychological meaning of subjectively identified precognitive dreams. All subjects showed recognition of some of their precognitive dreams by taking action based on the information in the dreams, and all subjects reported some non-precognitive psi dreams and some waking psi experiences. Dreams were reported both about events that had a personal connection to the dreamer and about accidents or disasters involving persons not known to the dreamer. Subjects also reported dreams of the death of pets and dream visits from persons recently dead. In addition to an overall structure that emerged which described the experience of precognitive dreams, four different types of precognitive dream experiences were identified, and other psi dream responses were differentiated from those for precognitive dreams. Dreams which the dreamers had identified as precognitive but for which they had not found confirmation were also psychologically important. The worldview of the dreamer and the attitude toward intervention made a difference in how the dreams were assimilated. Those subjects who found a sense of meaning in the dreams were much less distressed by them, as were those subjects who intervened at some level to change the foreseen events. The results of this study supported and elaborated previous findings about the forms presumptively precognitive dreams can take, but also brought up new questions warranting further investigation. Ullman's (1990) theory about the relationship between dreams and species connectedness was supported and expanded. EOR.---
Pascoe, F. N. (2010). Shared dreaming and communication within intimate human relationships. (3434491 Ph.D.), Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, Ann Arbor.pp: 175 ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database. ABSTRACT: This study examined the self-reported experience of shared dreaming, when two people experience the same dream, within the context of intimate human relationships. Primary hypothesis of this research was that at the discovery that codreamers have had the same dream, a shared dream, the dreamers experience an amplification in emotional state which leads to altering of their common notions of reality within Western culture. Secondary hypotheses of this research were that the shared dreaming experience has the potential to bring together the participants powerfully through communication, leading to creation over time of new narrative that allows integration of the shared dreaming experience, and the combination of which demonstrates that the shared dreaming experience becomes a transpersonal nexus between the dreamers. Intimate human relationships were operationally defined as between parent and children, siblings and siblings, and adults in romantic-sexual relationships. Mixed methodology was used with a convenience sample of 18 participants who completed the Boundary Questionnaire (BQ), the Spiritual Assessment Scale (SAS), and a demographic and dreaming history questionnaire. Four reports from each were submitted regarding dreams, discoveries, personal change, and relationship change. Thematic analysis was used with all of the reports. No significant correlations were found between scores on the BQ and SAS with ranked responses in the questionnaires. Descriptive statistics were used to amplify the qualitative findings from the thematic analysis. Most participants reported changes due to their shared dreaming experience, ranging from psychological and spiritual changes perceived in themselves and others, to altering their view of reality and in some cases behavior changes in their daily lives. Research hypotheses were supported, to varying degrees, as most participants accepted the nonordinary transpersonal nature of their experience albeit this was demonstrated in many different conceptual ways. Nicholson, N. L. (2016). When Mourning Comes: A Phenomenological Exploration of Dreams of the Bereaved Parent. (10182195 Ph.D.), Pacifica Graduate Institute, Ann Arbor.pp: 375 ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database. ABSTRACT: Loss of a child is the most complex death a person can experience. This event is multifaceted, containing intricate layers of mourning woven throughout the bereaved parent’s lifetime. Despite considerable attention emphasizing grief reactions of the bereaved, relatively few studies have recognized the unique mourning of bereaved parents, including dreams related to their child. This hermeneutic phenomenological study investigated the lived experience of six bereaved parents who have encountered significant dreams of their child. The study utilized a depth psychological lens based on Jung’s concept of the numinous—perceived as the mystery, the inexpressible, and that which pertains to the Divine. Data analysis yielded four supraordinate themes: Deepened Relationship with Self, Extended Relationship with Others, Intensified Relationship with It, and Heightened Relationship with God/Higher Power. This research sought to depathologize bereaved parents’ mourning and to cultivate awareness of the effects of dream encounters in order to foster hope and healing for the bereft parent. Results revealed that numinous dreams hold infinite potential, create a sense of meaning, and guide the bereaved parent toward psychological and spiritual transformation. EOR.---
Eppinger, R. a., & University of Edinburgh, d. g. i. (01.01.2001). A comparative examination of ganzfeld and dream reports in free response ESP studies. [Great Britain] : University of Edinburgh, 2001.pp: ABSTRACT: In studying altered states of consciousness in relation to psi, parapsychology researchers have achieved interesting results. It seems that altered states of consciousness could facilitate somehow psi-manifestation, however, further research is needed to verify that. This thesis presents two experiments aimed to explore participants reports of their experiences in two altered states of consciousness conditions, the dream and the ganzfeld. The ESP dream condition is used in one of this experiments. The ESP dream condition involves a clairvoyance technique. The experimental ESP dream research is reviewed with emphasis on those experiments which are relevant to the method used in this thesis. Problems with some methods of dream ESP research are approached and discussed as well as difficulties of doing such research. The ganzfeld condition with clairvoyance technique is used in the second experiment of this thesis. The ganzfeld is know as one of the most successful methods for the achievement of ESP results. The experimental ganzfeld research is reviewed emphasising studies which are relevant to the method used in this thesis, and difficulties with methods of conducing ganzfeld research are presented and discussed. A general review is made of the content analysis method which is used in this thesis as a tool to analyse the content of dream and ganzfeld experiment reports. The results obtained of the dream and ganzfeld reports' content analysis showed patterns within the participants' reports data. All the results concerning the content analysis are presented within specific chapters of this thesis. Both studies in this thesis were conducted by the author in Curitiba, a southern city of Brazil. A total of 50 Brazilian participants took part in 100 experiments, 50 dream experiments, and 50 ganzfeld experiments. The main question of this thesis was: "What do people report about their dream and ganzfeld experiences measured in relation to content analysis categories, and what can that tell us about the ESP process itself, and are these categories related to actual success and failure?". The main findings of this thesis were that overall results for the dream condition were at chance, and overall results for the ganzfeld condition were suggestive of psi-missing, thus the null-hypothesis was confirmed. That suggests that perhaps psi just do not exist. In addition, a sheep-goat effect was found in both dream and ganzfeld conditions, and clarity of hearing and clarity of imagery correlated negatively with ganzfeld ESP scores. A pattern was found in content analysis of participants' reports for female participants' dream, ganzfeld mentation, and ganzfeld written reports successful trials, all three having more references of content to torso/anatomy category. In addition, female participants' dream, ganzfeld mentation, and ganzfeld written reports unsuccessful trials presented a pattern with more references of content to male/female characters category. Finally, further research is needed, such as in countries like Brazil, to further parapsychological knowledge about the psi process as a whole. EOR.---
I'm not agree, I'm a bio-centrist, everything we imagine comes from our brains and experience. It is man who creates the god and this god is always different from culture to culture. It is the cause of many wars. Consciousness is a quantum field, and this we call god, it has other properties as we are used to.
And what about all the erotic dreams analyzed by Freud.
Does man create consciousness? Consciousness is the sine qua non of existence. Without it there is nothing, NO THING! It is thoughts that create things. Thought cannot exist without consciousness!
This is a very contending issue. However, I want to believe that the soul is the seat of a dream.
Thank you for this wonderful question. I think that dreams are another life which is the transfer of our souls to that life. As for the light I have no answer. But to tell the truth we can never rely on dreams to expect the FUTURE, only PROPHETS (peace upon them) have this superior ability.
Prophets get their information from dreams! You cannot say anything about dreams unless you have kept a dream diary and followed their consequences for many years. Read my essay "To test or not to test, that is the question". Then do what the test says to do. After 100 tests come back with a new answer.
As per what I read Dreaming is a phenomenon pertaining to Brain. So there may not be the question of blind people. One should find out from them.
As mentioned they are related to our thoughts, thinking so no question of source of light etc. Simple example, now I am in Australia, whenever I think about my hometown I get a clear picture with all locations and my people. I lost my parents, sister's families in an accident. I need not sleep or close my eyes I clearly remember them all and all were stored in my mind, including my childhood days and memories. I do not need any light for thinking during night time or before going to sleep. Even day time also many people take a nap.
Sigmund Freud says dreams are unfulfilled thoughts, desires.
Freud helped a lot, now we can go further, quantum physics has to come over the bridge together with neuroscientists and of course experiences as of Jetty Ramadevi are interesting. Experiences may be a point of departure.
Dear @ Kurt Forrer please refer to the following link from Bible :-

If you need from Quran which is my book then I am ready if you believe in religions. Good luck
"Our dreams are many and the vocabulary and meanings that we can not easily understand but are associated with many situations and events in our daily lives, including what is past and what is my future. The light in a dream symbolizes the good that the dreamer will receive in real life, especially if the light is white and is very bright."
It's crystal clear that we are all humans but not equal beings. There are heroes among humans, who probably see beyond 2 Dimensions. Some humans are superheroes with about Pico dimensions. Scientifically, the brain is wired to the different processors in the head and the wired cells are interconnected through the light of thought and imagination. This is light has been colonized and hidden by religions. To Christianity, its light is through Christ; To Islam the power of Jinns and what you request from Allah. To others, their light could be from the moon and trees, mindset.
But the light during a dream is a power of imagination. During the dream, we are dead and dead could move faster than speed of light and assume the whole world in a minute.
Dear Colleagues All views are respectable to us. The important question remains how can we see dreams even though our eyes are closed? In other words, what is the source of light (if there is light) during the dream vision.
Best wishes
Ultimately consciousness is the light. Light is the first manifestation of the sun. In the same way inner light is the first manifestation of Absolute Consciousness. The world is not an independent apparition. It is not an objective reality. It exists thanks to the mind which is a servant of consciousness. We are not the body. The body is merely a kind of space suit. We are the soul or the etheric, a subtle body inside the body of flesh and blood. The soul is a light body that can see the world without the eyes of the body. Congenitally blind people can see the world in an NDE state, which is the temporary death of the body. Pam Reynolds was in an induced state of death. When she returned to the body she said she could see better without the eyes, clearer and with greater certainty. (Read my "Brahman's Dream" for more detail.) In short, the source of the inner light is the soul which is a light being!
I should rather say a manifestation of a relative consciousness, as everyone is different and has another state of consciousness. It is also possible that animals see light in their dreams, so the connection with consciousness is not very clear. But I believe that the quality of dreams and visons have something to do with it.
We are 'animals'. Anima means that which gives life. It means breath or spirit. The spirit is everywhere. Without spirit there is no life or light. Consciousness manifests as light. It shines in all and everything. The lucky few know this.
Hi Nabeel,
Thank you very much for your participation. I think some people's dreams can also come true in real life. According to the important link that you kindly referred to, do you think some dreams (say the dreams of the Prophets) are a tool to travel through time (past and present) ? and evidence of that, Joseph's Dreams became real after many years later.
I wish you all the best
Dear Kurt,
Prophets get their information from GOD by Inspiration and revelation. Nabil pointed "But to tell the truth we can never rely on dreams to expect the FUTURE, only PROPHETS (peace upon them) have this superior ability". I think he ment only with regard to their personal lives, for example, the dreams of Joseph.
I wish you all the best
If there is a creator it can not have a single name, it has to be pluralistic and also nothing can exist what is not created by the mind. No use to start a war of religion.
Dear Rita,
Thank you for your participation, I asked a scientific question, some answers were related with a scientific issues and other answers were linked to religions, beliefs and peoples' cultures, and it is important to know them. There is scientific evidence (see below) that we are not the body, but a soul that has wrapped itself in a coarse body of flesh and blood. The soul is really a light-being. It does not need light from other sources. The soul can see the world without a body, in fact it can see better, clearer, more assuredly without a body. This is why congenitally blind people can SEE in an NDE. The scientific evidence for this is the NDE of Pam Reynolds induced artificially by Doctor Spetzler in order to operate on an aneurism in her brain that was inaccessible along ordinary pathways, Please look up this operation on the Net. Ask for Pam Reynolds' NDE. If you want more detail read my essay BRAHMAN'S DREAM, International Journal of Dream Research, University Heidelberg, Germany.
Whoever sees the existence of a light scout but is weak or whose light hardly lights up in front of it, it suggests weakness and inability to think and inability to deal with others, as the vision suggests narrow and blocked horizon to the seer and weak ambition and lack of his life.
One and only one sense that feels and knows, that's what's gonna happen in a next second, is the one dreams because - all the times throughout our life, it will think of our past, present and future as what's we lost, what's going to be lose and what's going to miss further Thus it tries to prevent us from unexpectations
Thank-you
Dear Dr. Ali,
Do you mean that the source of dreams is the subconscious or do you mean we see objects through the dream (though our eyes are closed) is the subconscious mind?.
Thank you so much
Hi Rita,
Perhaps the source of light is in the brains caused by vapors in it. But how can we prove that?.
Regards,
I am a new teacher in an university. Last week I saw a dream. In my dream someone told me to take the exam papers to school. There was a message on my phone when I woke up in the morning and she wrote in the message: Can you bring my examination paper when you come to school? :))
Wouldn't I bring the papers if the student didn't get the message?
Yes, I would. Because the original message came in a divine way.
