I am trying to make nano-formulation for my further research, but there is a aggregation and PDI value is 0.8. I wish to make the sample which contains PDI value is 0.5 or 0.6. If i am sonicating more than 10 min, the size is decreasing. Please suggest any idea. Thanks in Advance.
The PDI must be in range 0.6-0.7 to have a reliable measurement.To reduce PDI ,you can adding an inorganic electrolyte.
The PDI of the molar mass can measure before the formation of micelles and the PDI of micelles after the critical concentration of micelle formation.
@ Anil, as you have mentioned definitely sonication may help to reduce PDI value which we have also experienced, but better to try with inorganic electrolyte as Dr. Hadi suggested.
Why do you want a PDI value of 0.5 or 0.6? It doesn't make sense to me. 0.6 vs 0.8 - both represent very broad distributions.
It seems either you synthetic process is not well-controlled or it just inherently gives you a polydisperse product.
