As per my limited understanding, there are few techniques of analyzing the qualitative data that include
a) thematic analysis
b) content analysis
c) discourse analysis
d) narrative analysis
I am confused about the appropriate use of these techniques in different kind of studies. For example, if we have conducted interviews then we can simply deploy framework or thematic analysis but if we have selected different studies to reach out a new conclusion, what technique should be used?

Largely depends on what you are trying to achieve (find) from the lit review. Each analysis technique although have some similarities offers something different. If you just want to find the themes - thematic analysis will be useful. If you want to find how recurrent a theme is - content analysis might be suitable.

In my experience, content analysis is the simplest of those you mention, which leads naturally to thematic analysis, as content usually needs thematizing However as indicated above, it all depends on your research questions and/or hypotheses; aims, goals objectives; whether your approach is theory or data-driven and many other design considerations. It may be helpful to consider your questions as research technology, which depends on research methods, which depends on approach, philosophy of science, etc

It is not clear as to what you mean by "different studies" since the discipline/sub-discipline under consideration has not been mentioned. However, since qualitative data is involved, desk review can be perhaps considered the "simplest" method applicable in such instances.
1. It is not clear what do you mean by different studies.
2. What do you want to achieve/ what are you looking at? What kind of data are you examining? You need to clarify your objectives- the research questions, aims, and methodology.
3. I suggest that after you are clear about the 2 steps above, then do read and understand all the kind of analysis that you have stated. Choose the most appropriate kind of analysis accordingly. Best wishes.

Thank you for your response. By different studies, I meant the Review of Literature (different published researches). For example, I want to identify if "Big data analytics can help in reducing economic costs pertinent to diagnosis of diabetes". Now I can choose among existing research articles (of course that are published in peer-reviewed journals) for gathering the secondary data.
The question was "What technique of qualitative data analysis should be deployed to analyze such data".
In that case, try to begin with desk review of existing literature. This could be followed by thematic and content analysis.

It depends on what kind of data did you collect or plan to collect, the research area, etc.

In addition, if you want to analyse how your qual data and the literature interact with contextual power relations, intended meanings, then critical discourse analysis (cda) will lead you to interesting and complex relations between your data sources and literature sources.
