Targeted culturable bacterial species from heavy metal-contaminated soil were isolated after shaking incubation in 0.85% (w/v) salt solution and filtration with Whatman 1. In the paper, they used nutrient agar or soil extract agar medium to plate suspension containing heavy metal-resistant bacteria.
