What is the role of Niobium on Austenite-Ferrite transformation during cooling from Inter-critical Annealing in Dual Phase Steels? Some literature suggest that Nb retards Austenite-Ferrite transformation as Nb in solid solution increases steels hardenability, while some suggests that it actually promotes ferrite formation while cooling.

It will be great if someone can throw some more light on the matter.

Thanks in advance.!
