For oviposition site preference and ovi-trap surveillance of mosquito vectors.
Will the mosquitoes (Ex. Aedes /Anopheles/Culex spp) show equivalent preference to lay their eggs onto a specific oviposition attractant/stimulant treated bowls (ovitraps) irrespective of their geographic isolation?
(or) is this behavior governed by specific cues that are dominating in the local breeding sites?
What is the cut-off rate in terms of trap positivity, to deploy ovi-traps for successful surveillance in endemic areas?
