• Adding the ascorbic acid during the direct labelling it increases the radiolabeling efficiency because as we no ascorbic acid is free radical scavenger..and rdiolysis occurs during the labelling process..

Ascorbate was an antioxidant that when added it to the reaction will be neutralise it to be more stable deu to scavenger activity of Vit.C...
