Cost is different in different countries, even in different hospitals of same country. Even type of setup like public sector or private sector is different. So, although there are some studies which calculate cost, it is in context to that hospital or at best that country. Even I analyzed the cost of routine tests done before elective surgeries for finding the cost impact. But, I calculated the cost from a highly subsidized public setup. So, this will under quote private sector cost. What you can do is take the prices of your hospital and mention it the paper.

However, we are interested to get those figures published from some other institutions in order to get a range. Call various insurance companies i.e. see what is covered, what is real cost, and what is patient copayment. Various insurance companies may vary on cost. Check cost for people without insurance paying cash as well. What insurance is prevalent in your target population? I work with people who have medicaid so most things are covered. Those with medicare and other insurances have to pay more out of pocket.
