I would like to know the recommended Tunneling current and bias voltage that is to be given to the STM instrument to do surface characterization of Ti3C2Tx MXene.
I suggest using as high as bias voltage in which it doesn't force the molecule to move or desorb from the surface and as low as possible tunneling current; all of them to make the longest distance of the tip from the surface to avoid polarization in the molecule or drift. Then you can slowly decrease the voltage and increase the current to get higher resolution STM images. to start I suggest ~ 1.0 V / 15 pA for Au surface.
