How much quantity of the pure ester is needed to be dissolved in the dilluent (e.g n-hexane/chloroform). I just want run the GC/FID to determine the retention time of the individual standard esters (Methyl decanoate, Methyl dodecanoate, Methyl tetradecanoate, Methyl hexadecanoate, Methyl octadecanoate) based on the GC parameters I used in my experiment.
