My research work is to evaluate wound healing effect of different compounds in diabetes rats. For this purpose I used Streptozotocin drug at proper dose. After diabetes induced in rats we created wound on dorsum of rats after giving anaesthesia. But in my two trial rats mortality was more than 50% within 10-15 days. My trial duration is 21 days. We followed all standard protocols in trial.
Plz help me in this query.

Do you measure the blood glucose level? I can promise you it is too high, more than 450 mg/dl or 30 mmol/l!
Did you solve STZ in normal saline or distilled water or what?
What was your dosage?
I had this problem, but I think it is because of a very high glucose level.
