What is the reason for the shift in fluorescence emission spectra with excitation wavelength, in the case of excitation independent fluorescence emission? Please see attached figure. It is excitation independent fluorescence emission. but we can see the shifts around 20 nm. why it is happened? what is the reason behind this.

It is known as red edge effect or edge excitation red shift. It is more favorable in polar viscous/ moderately viscous solvents and occurs due to differently solvated molecule in the solvent. You can go through discussion on same on the following link and also study some literature given there.
