Hello,

I have prepared 3%, 5%, 10% gadolinium doped CeO2 (GDC) and have heat treated it at 400 C, 500 C, and 1200 C.

See attached figure for peak shift.

I have calculated lattice parameter for all the doped samples. I observed that for 400 C samples the lattice parameters were  0.5412 nm, 0.5418 nm, and 0.5422 nm.

While when heat treated at 500 C the lattice parameter decreased. i.e., 0.5392, 0.5400, 0.5405.

For 1200 C they are 0. 5360, 0.5362, and 0.5368.

That is the 2theta values shifts towards right side on increasing the temperature. The strain values are positive for 400 while negative for rest two temperature.

What can be the possible mechanism behind such observation ?
