I want to know about how to get laser probe well calibrated , I learned we can use the reference ball or any other designed blocks ,but how can I make sure themselves have been setup well? because i don't know their position in the machine tool, so anyone can answer me or provide me with some references about this field？ I will be grateful.
May I know, what kinds of laser displacement do you use?
In the first step, I suggest you to make sure that laser installation have been setup well. It means that optical layout, i.e. beam splitter and mirror reflector has a line axis. You can see its indication based on the "beam strength" parameter from lower to maximum range, normally acceptable is more than 80% (please see your manual books of laser).
Another thing that is more important is to pay attention to environmental conditions, because laser displacement is very sensitive to changes in temperature, pressure, and humidity.
