I am interested in a question related to ultrabasic and basic alkaline intrusions.
Namely: what is the probable genetic mechanism of the formation of the jacupirangite-urtite series, especially ijolites and urtites.
Are they formed from their own foidolite magma or are they still derivatives of alkaline-basite magma?

Jacupirangites are plutonic rocks and consisting of accumulated minerals (cpx and magnetite especially). These rocks are often associated with carbonatites. Their petrogenesis seems to be difficult to understand by studying whole/bulk rocks. I attached a paper, which may help you. Tibor
