India ranks 78 among 180 countries in Transparency International's index on corruption in 2018. In 2017 India occupied 81st place in the list. Thus India rose by three points in the list of 180 countries in the world. I think stable and firm government at the center has been the main reason for declining trend in corruption in India.

Ethiopia is the 114 least corrupt nation out of 175 countries, according to the 2018 Corruption Perceptions Index reported by Transparency International. Corruption Rank in Ethiopia averaged 109.89 from 2000 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 138 in 2007 and a record low of 59 in 2002.
The map of high indicators is based on countries where wars have been launched on various pretexts. However, the benefit of most corruption is automatically returned to the pockets of those who ignite them remotely to work their arms factories and to secure mercenary jobs, as well as to experts and traders of chaos on the pretext of providing peace And the elimination of terrorism, As Some countries, as we all know, It is an outgrowth of corruption and a rare experience, funded terrorism and the list is in the first third and not the last, Those who are aware and live reality know who drives such statistics
Nigeria moved to 144th from 148th in the previous CPI out of 180 countries in the last ranking. Corruption is endemic in Nigeria especially public sector corruption.
My country rank is the 168 least corrupt nation out of 175 countries, according to the 2018 Corruption Perceptions Index reported by Transparency International. The reasons are known to everyone.
According to the report, we are given rank 64, which is not an achievement, but a clear regresssion. I am mostly doing business in countries, which rank among the first 20. My observation: there are different forms of 'capitalism' (scale: non-productive vs. productive); 'productive capitalism' is defined by a 'democratic market system' (democratic market society), in economic and financial terms.
Cronyism, nepotism, rentierism and the like are 'killers' of capitalist economic productivity.
No doubt your country Iraq occupies 168th place in Transparency International's index on corruption in 2018, but among 180 countries instead of among 175 countries. Please see the links below.
I am from India stayed in various countries. Now in Australia. Interesting scores. As mentioned by Aravind stable n strong Govt. is very much necessary. Still some of the persons are escaping/white-collar criminals (with respect to India).
@ Joshua you need not feel. Your country's problems are like that. There are some more countries even show worst ranking for eg. Somalia 180/180.
I think that the government need to do more governance with AI and new other technologies and we need to literate the peoples to use the technologies for the better governance and it will lead to a better tomorrow. Now a days we can directly vote for the ideas or government action like republic i Greek times buy using technology. We need a platform for this according to this they(Government). Need to take decisions in it. But they don't do like this still they need to put their bad ideas on us.
Iran's ranking in Transparency International's annual corruption report has dropped from 130 to 138 among 180 countries surveyed. The truth of the matter is that when a country does not align herself with the principles set by arrogant countries like America is treated as a recalcitrant and its position in most global rankings is highly subjective. Lack of compliance and the wish for regional independence are important factors in such rankings. As a case in point, Saudi Arabia which is a country involved in tribal and international breachment of many international laws and honest dealings stands at 58 ! Alas, the main disadvantage of international reports is that the figures must be first checked with and approved by the cores of power in America.
Interesting facts about India. It is fine if your country improves the position, which indicates the overall development of a country as a nation. I wish more transparent mechanism will be deployed in the developing nations by which the world economical growth rates maintained at constantly.
It is generally an impossible thing. In addition, most people are not interested on this matter. People are getting information from their everyday life.
