We try to cultivate Selenomonas ruminantium GA192 (ATCC 12561) strain in two different media. One is anaerobic medium supplemented with Rumen fluid and the other is ATCC Medium: 602 E Medium for Anaerobes. However, incubation more than 1 week in anaerobic chamber, we couldn't obtain growth of culture. The media were inoculated from ATCC stock culture. What could be reason of non-growth? We need any suggestions about growth media and growth conditions for Selenomonas ruminantium GA192.
