I have read articles on how people would learn at work or school and viewed processes, just wondering what your thoughts on the naturalistic way of learning in everyday life. Let me know if you need further clarification :)
I see naturalistic way of learning as problem solving. Problem solving is inherent in our daily life, whatever we do, it has to do with problem solving. Thus, in my opinion, problem solving ought to be integrated in the curriculum. Cheers.
Apart from the classic learning theories there are new approaches available in the literature about how people, and especially young children learn. In my opinion the best way to conceptualize learning is a holistic approach that includes child-centered practices, learning through play, discovery learning, problem-solving, autonomy-based learning and all of them in a positive classroom climate.
Learning is a social process and it should be examined in the different social contexts that it takes place. The role of social interaction in the development of cognition is fundamental (see Vygotsky, 1978; Luria, 1973).
