What is the most suitable parametric test for Likert scale?

I have tried to download the 64-bit version of MGLtools however, as many times as I have downloaded and uninstall the programs, an error arises that the app needs to be updated. Thank you.

As ar s I recall, you can only run a parametric test on such a scale if the n is large enough that you can assume a normal distribution. So I would guess a few hundred in each group.

May I ask a fundamental question: Wy do have such reluctance to run a non-parametric test? A Kruskal-Walis test would work.

Ordinal data (e.g., Likert scale data) technically do not meet the criteria needed for parametric statistical testing. However, I have seen people use it after combining the results from multiple Likert scale questions.

To answer your question, we need more information. For one, how many groups? Two, are the groups independent or dependent? The attached chart might help you make a decision.

No, there is no minimum number of studies to test for normality or equal variance. However, I have seen arguments that a one-way ANOVA (or t-test) is robust to violation of assumptions when group sample sizes are >30 and are roughly equal to each other.

Do you measure the groups only after the simulation or also before? If you only measure them one time, then you can do a Kruskal-Wallis test.

Thanks for answering, yes I am only testing once after the simulation, and that is why the samples are indifferent.
