Gold in hydrothermal systems is usually associated with sulphide minerals such as pyrite, arsenopyrite and other such minerals. The method of roasting the sulphide tend to form gases that eventually form weak Sulphuric acid upon interaction with rain water. Therefore this present an environmental problem, what would be a good method that can be used to unlock the gold from the sulphides?
