Burn infection caused by pathogenic bacteria is one of the most
common hospital problems worldwide, particularly in developing
countries. Fire leads to skin destruction and simultaneous suppression of both humoral and cellular immune system subsequently resulting burn infection.
In developed hospitals anaerobic bacteria now are rarely a cause of invasive infection in burns. The most common anaerobic organisms isolated are the Bacteroides and Fusobacterium spp.

According to my researches on burn unit .most common gram positive is Staphylococcus aureus while gram negative are Pseudomonas spp., Klebsiella spp, E. Coli, and Acinetobacter spp. these are always present.

The most common/dominant bacteria cause burn infection is Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In the study of Ekrami and Kalantar (2007), there were 182 patients admitted and blood, urine, and wound biopsy samples were taken and was cultured on MacConkey agar and Blood agar.
There were a total of 173 bacterial isolates taken and the most predominant one is P. aeruginosa which comprises 37.5% (or 65 isolates) of the total samples taken. And it is to note that this pathogen is resistant to certain drugs like cephalothin and ciprofloxacin.
To conclude my answer, P. aeruginosa is the most predominant bacteria that cause burn infections and is also resistant to most of the antibiotics tested in them.
