What is the most appropriate technique in isolating coronary artery from the rodents ?

I have tried isolating coronary artery from rat and rabbit heart, but the isolated coronary arteries are not responding to KCl in the organ bath. So please suggest me an appropriate steps to be taken while isolating the coronary arteries from rodents.
