I'm a novice in Graph Theory and need help from experts.

A graph, defined as a set of vertices and edges has a number of properties. Some are unique and some aren't. For example if the number of vertices and edges are known then finding the sum of degrees is possible. That means the sum of degrees isn't a unique but the number of vertices and edges are.

I would like to know what are such unique properties that defines a graph.
