Apologies for my act. I have been offline for sometimes.
As far the question, "usually traditional gas sensors are formed using metal oxides but the problem was metal oxide based senors don't work properly at room temperature instead they need higher tem. to work.
But POM(polyoxometalates) are the good substitute. Not only they work at nearly room temperature but also show higher gas response than traditional sensing devieces. My question was how/why?
I intend to know what happens differently at atomic or electronic level to POMs under the exposure of gases.
