It depends entirely on the design of the module. Multijunction cells are very expensive and are designed to work at say 500 suns or more concentration. Of course, the heat input is colossal and the cells have to be actively cooled else they would vapourise in a few seconds. Flat bed non-concentrator cells don't have active cooling and start losing efficiency in full sun because they heat up. Even 40 C causes a noticeable drop in output. Which of course is why manufacturers always test them at 25C. Looks so much better.

it all depends on bandgap and temperature. For commercial silicon modules it is unidentifiable to have a high solar radiation because it will heat up the bulk material and produce nothing.

Wisam, please consider carefully why you would want to do this. Solar concentrators are of advantage where mirrors (plus 1 or 2 axis mounting and steering mechanisms) are cheaper than flat plate systems. This isn't obviously true for silicon because I am fairly sure you can buy a fixed silicon module more cheaply than you can buy a steered mirror of the same size. The advantage of concentrators is that you can use very, very, expensive cells that offer two or even three times the efficiency of silicon, run at very high solar intensities - to make them cost effective I think it's 500 suns at least. Such a very, very, expensive cell will need good cooling as you might be drawing a kilowatt of heat from a few sq cms of area. If you try this with a silicon cell you won't get any increase in efficiency - more likely the reverse since the silicon cell won't be designed to carry the current (many amps per sq cm at 500 suns), so you will have to concentrate at a much much lower level. Like 5 times. I doubt if it's worth it in the commercial environment. However it might make an interesting research project. You could prove me wrong! Best wishes.

I fully agree with Tony. However, i want to add some comments;

-You can use the single crystal solar cells and not modules to operate under concentrated sun radiation, since you have to build your module to facilitate the cooling of the solar cells and to with stand the the much higher cell current and temperature.

-You have also to limit the maximum concentration to less than about 10 suns according to the published results. This type of operation is called low concentration.

- The long term operation of these mode of operation is not well studied-ed. I have doubt that such mode of operation would decrease the operating lifetime of the flat plate modules designed to operate at one sun.

- I would lie to bring your attention that 1000 W/m^2 is not a concentrated solar power. it is one sun at air mass 1.5.
