Different people have different thinking whereas some says that pursuing phd degree is very difficult and troublesome too. On the other hand, some says that by managing managing professor it can be easily done. So please give valuable experience that can help to others like me.

As I see it, the most importand part to get a PhD degree is your dissertation. How does one write an excellent dissertation? There is no magic formula to achieve this goal. To my understanding, one writes an excellent dissertation, when it revolves around what I call "Irritating" questions, that is, questions whose answer advances knowledge and leads us to a better knowledge of the unknown. Almost by definition, irritating questions are questions that challenge the staus quo and the mainstream. I can even say that lucky are those Ph D students who are able to raise an irritating question and elaborate on it in their Ph dissertations.
