I would like to know the qualities of a good research Guide. Today (September 5th), We celebrate Teachers day in India. It is right to ask this question today.
In my view, the qualities of a good research guide are as follows.
1) An Expert in his own field
2) Broad minded
3) Motivator
4) Appreciating
5) Caring
6) Cool
7) High moral values
Its very difficult to get all the qualities (1-7) in a guide. However, my view is a good research should have his own way of logical thinking towards contributing in the area. Research scholar life his own life and he has to live with his own way of positive thinking and added contributed progression with honesty.
The researcher will do his research independently but it is the duty of the guide to show the researcher the right track to follow. In my opinion, the most important role of the guide is when the student fall in such a problem what he can't solve using his best effort and time is passing on then the guide will act as the best friend, he will inspire the student, make the student to remain fearless, make him think differently to find a solution.
an ideal person who transform the life of research scholar and will remain ideal for research scholar.
