High energy microwave affect iliving beings mainly through termal effect. What is the mechanism of low dose microwave (300 MHz - 300 GHz electromagnetic field) effect on organism: membrane receptors modification, DNA/RNA damage, structural proteins modification or something else?

Ithink we concluded from works done that these waves causing damages to DNA and changes in microbial characteristics metabilics and resistances etc...
My knowledge in this diwls ia rather limited. But years ago we have checked the Sterilisation pteintial of microwaves. As we found, proteins are rather stable - some even are as enzymes effective as before after Treatment even with higher exposition. But nucleic acids are easily destroyed. From our experiments we can draw the conclusion, that it is mostly part of time of exposure and amount of radiation to adjust the effect. With exact adjustment microwave treatment of material can be helpful to surface-sterilize plant material - but this is difficult to adjust. With best wishes - HWD
Regarding the effects of millimetric waves (30-300GHz) on cell membrane, which is considered the main target of this interaction, please I have attached a paper. However a unique biophysical mechanism that could explain all the effects induced by low level MMW radiation is still unknown.

I researched the impact of low-dose microwave since 1974.
Open publications I have not. Were "reports".
Alex, I think, a negative effect on human organs and systems of low-dose microwave somewhat exaggerated.

Thank you for your information. We (me and colleagues from FIAN) are interested in mainly in change of plant-pathogen interaction under MW radiation and genetic changes in bacteria and viruses. There are some speculations on specific DNA and proteins (with high electric charge) that accept MW with high efficiency.
