When we fall asleep, we (see) dreams to which our organism reacts as if they are real. When we get a complete consciousness, we mostly realize that the overall context of what we dreamed of is illogical in the real world. Is it therefore reasonable to state that the human brain is somehow programmed to process and interpret two different (but inter-connected) logical languages according to the sleeping/waking cycle? In addition to our logical understanding of (and interaction with) our environment (conscious logics), is there a subconscious version of logics that makes us terrified of nightmares, even the most fantasized ones?!
