I am trying to find out what is the largest thickness of GLARE fibre metal laminate every produced or currently used in actual applications. if there is a reference that would be even better.

thanks, i dont think they mentioned anything about the largest thickness of GLARE laminate ever produced in that review paper.
This suggests that in 2007 the largest thickness, at least for actual applications, of 'pure' Glare was the 6/5 lay--up (so about 3-4 mm):

If you also count CentrAL (Glare bonded to thick Al outer layers) you get to about 20ish mm.

Hi John, I found this presentation while googling some info about GLARE. It shows a fastener hole bore in a GLARE laminate (page 20) ~ around 20 mm thick which is similar to what you advised before as well.
