Hello, just wondering the influence of cyclic compound and double bond in a film. Certain chemicals can be a plasticizer and affect the mechanical properties (tensile strength, young modulus, or elongation at break). However, interested to know the effect of it in chemistry area. Hello, A cyclic compound and a double bond with the mechanical properties of the film is intended to change the possibilities to improve plasticity at the expense of strength or increase mechanical strength at the expense of reduced plasticity. Actually, we were adding different kind of chemical compound into our film. Different compound gave different mechanical properties. Besides, different compound also has a different chemical structure. The one with more intermolecular double bond and less cyclic compound gave stronger and more stiff film. However, the elongation at break of the compound with more cyclic compound and no intermolecular double bond gave a higher value of elongation at break. Thus, i'm uncertain whether there is any relation between the chemical structure and the mechanical properties of a film. Hopefully can get a better understanding about this. Thank you.
