how about half life of bone marrow-derived neutrophils???? any idea??? thanks a ton in advance. I want cells survive for at least 2-3 days after isolating from bone marrow. Thanks
There are different thoughts on this, but generally they should be viable for at least two days following isolation. The paper attached talks about neutrophil lifespan in humans, which in this case was shown to be 5.4 days. I don't know what model you are using?
Hope this helps!

It depends on what you are doing. Working with mouse bone marrow-derived neutrophils (ie resting) you can expect at least 50% to have died within 24 hours. Even the ones 'alive' (ie not taking up PI or similar) will not be as functional as fresh ones (I have seen significant drops in respiratory burst or NET formation in as little as 6 hours). Activating neutrophils can prolong their life-span, but you then cant do any meaningful tests on them later.
The paper above refers to neutrophils in situ. You say you want to isolate them (ie presumably keep them in the fridge and or in culture).
