Increase in RG scores is directly proportional to the RG score of RG colleagues interacting with your contents and its reverse decreases RGScore.

Increase of RG Interest: +14.8 Citations: +0 Recommendations: 236 (+1 Project, +183 Answer, +52 Publication) Read: +640 (+1 Project, +551 Answer, +88 Publication)

The real and important problems of life are others but my RG score has dropped, although of a very little value (0.01), despite having devoted, in broad terms, the same time to my activity on the platform (2/3 hours a day .. . and sometimes even on weekends). I don't understand why either ...

i noticed the same sometimes it drops sometimes goes up ..it might has to do with the type of researcher's contribution.. more full text publication added,or more followers..not clear

In my experience I dont know why sometimes the scoring reduced or at least stopped for one week. Also, sometimes when i do add some publications the score reduced!!

This is really confusing

It depends the RG score of RG colleagues interacting with your contents, more RG score of RG colleagues interacting with your contents results in increase in your RG score and less RG Score of RG colleagues interacting with your contents results in decrease in your RGScore.

It is normal and is dependent on various research activities. Hence it increases or vice versa.

Too active in RG "Q & A" wing, hope it's the main tool for increasing RG Score.

To increase the RG score, there must be activities and follow-up from others, otherwise the score will decrease

I think RG score is a relative term, depends on your contribution in Q & A and response from others in same.

Confusing matrisis

Suggestion or Guidance for increasing or decreasing the score in RG platform. It's a common question or query by almost all RG members. Also majority of the members are dissatisfied from the RG Score matrix. I think if you are using RG and your actively interaction or participation in questions and answers, then may be chance for increase of the score.

I think it depends upon your contribution. But I m so confused to see up and downs in RG score

According to RG Help Center page, RG score is relative, it can go up or down depending on the activity and scores of other ResearchGate members. This means it takes the scores and interactions of every researcher into account to give a relative rating of your contributions...

I do not understand why people are so obsessed with the RG number. That number will not help you to find a job or achieve any goals in your life.

RG score is calculated based on your activities on four key areas; publication, answers, questions, and followers. The higher your activities in these areas, the higher your chances of getting increase in RG Score

To increase your RG score every week, add new research items, especially research/review papers and chapters published in reputable journals recognized by RG; answer as many new questions as possible; ask relevant questions that attract answers from many RG members; get followers

Additionally, you need need to get your research items, answers, questions, comments, etc. recommended by other RG members, especially those with high RG score. One common way to do this is by recommending their contributions, and they will recommend yours in return

I think it is directly proportional to how many persons read, recommend and cite your research. Also, it increases if you participate in a question answer debate no matter what kind of question is discussed....

Abdulaziz, to my mind, your RG score is dependent, to a great extent, on how active you are on the platform. This means that your overall contribution, including journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, questions posed and answers provided to other scholars' questions, citations, recommendations and so on are used to provide some measurement of such contributions. It would be interesting to find out the ranking or prioritisation of each of these contributions in order to ascertain the sum parts of an individual's total RG score. Interesting question for discussion and debate.
